The Standard

The project included a complete renovation and adaptive re-use of a 1893 unreinforced masonry building, originally a furniture warehouse and showroom. The project included new building systems, a seismic retrofit, new stairs, and elevators. To reinvigorate the historic structure, the upper levels were converted into creative commercial space, a new penthouse was added, and retail space was provided at the street level.

Weinstein A+U also prepared the Seattle Landmarks nomination and secured approval for the project with the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board.
