Blackbird is a 6-story mixed-use building in Redmond, Washington. The site on 159th Place NE is just off the key neighborhood arterial of Bear Creek Parkway, a few blocks west of Redmond Town Center.

As a mid-block development, Blackbird has street presence without flashy colors or material collages. The U-shaped plan fully fronts the street and the recessed base creates covered individual patios for the live/work lofts and a more generous area for street trees and sidewalk. The internal courtyard provides additional daylight to units and a shared outdoor space protected from the street.
