Station House is part of the evolution of this Redmond neighborhood into a more urban, walkable environment.
The crisp 6-story structure uses a U-shape to bring light and air to the 196 residential units. The street- and mezzanine-level are set back from the main facade to provide covered terraces for the first floor lofts and a generous pedestrian zone, which counterbalances the auto-dominant street. Embracing the urban feel, large windows are merged into window walls, rather than a traditional series of numerous single windows. The window wall bays alternate with inset balcony decks. These large, covered decks create rhythm and depth to the long west side of the building, and encourage outdoor living similar to the terraces at the main level.
